Welcome to The Birth Place

The Birth Place is a unique full-service facility providing world-class midwifery and womens health care. We strive to create a supportive, educational experience in a relaxed, friendly and professional environment.

The Birth Place

The Birth Place grew from a need for quality midwifery services in the greater Orlando area. Jennie Joseph has provided home-birth services for Florida women since 1995 and as her practice grew it became apparent that she could only be in one place at a time! The solution - a birth center providing quality, affordable women's health care and in which our patients' safety and well being always comes first.

Why choose a Birthing Center?

The Birth Place, a unique birthing center and midwifery practice, today announced the launch of the Orlando Birthing Project, a volunteer program dedicated to making a positive difference in women’s lives by supporting them through pregnancy and postpartum to improve birth outcomes in Central Florida. The Project will help The Birth Place offer at-risk women access to one-on-one support from experienced, caring women called SisterFriends.

The goal of The Birthing Project, which focuses on African American women, is to keep more babies alive by recruiting, training and supporting community volunteers (SisterFriends) to provide direction, emotional support and education to the mothers.
